Kākano students have had the opportunity to learn from experienced carving and jewellery artists such as Galia Amsell, Maha Tomo, Julie Moselen and Chris Van Doren, who bring expert knowledge into our space. As a result they have created some beautiful pieces of carved bone jewellery, resin necklaces and earrings and large Oamaru stone carved sculptures.
