Over the years Kākano students have experimented with a wide range of painting styles, from realism to expressionism, abstract to painterly. To inspire them we use artist models as the first point of influence and create pathways of interest for each student. The mediums also differ; some prefer acrylic, others feel more at home using an aerosol can,  indian ink or watercolour.
